So my cousin Guillermo has been in Spain for the last couple of months or a year getting his masters degree in computer engineering. So of course, like any loving cousin, I went to see him all the way in Spain (what a drag XD) lol. So I have documented it for you all to see….HAVE FUN READING!!!
It took forever to get there, but we got there :D. Day one was traveling!
Day Two: So we first went to the beach on my second day there, since it takes forever to get there from New York, so I just HAD to go to the beach and relax a bit. This is Barcelona…
Me enjoying the beach, trying to tan but I failed miserably, LOL!
Sea shells we collected…She sells sea shells by the sea shore…
My cousin by the water.
The sunset was soooo beautiful. Makes me miss Barcelona : (
While my uncle was driving us back home, I insisted on getting coffee, even if it was already late, you see, for I am a coffee addict, yes, I admit it, I’M A COFFEE ADDICT, LMAO!!!
On to day Three: So I wanted to go to the park, but my cousin Guillermo wanted to go golfing, so we compromised and we first had a picnic at the park, and then we went golfing
Golfing was…interesting.
Driving back to the house to get ready for dinner and a special performance by my aunt who has a belly dance school.
My auntie is the middle one. How awesome is she??? And she’s a dentist to boot!
After the show…
My cousin tried on some funny hats.
Day four: Site seeing. You cant go to a country and not sight see, so I went sight seeing!
That’s a modern kind of park, it’s pretty cool.
Thats La Sagrada Familia. It was made by Gaudi, but unfortunately it was never finished. Non the less, it’s still a beautiful building. I loved it being an architecture student!
I love the awesome structures everywhere!!!
At the market….YUCK!!!
Now on to the weird things i saw during my sight seeing adventure
These are actually people for all of you who wish to know
It’s uncanny how fake they look. The last one is fake by the way. I don’t really know how they did it to this day. LOL :0
Later that night
Day five: So while i was there, we went to Galicia, which is another place in Spain. I have family there so we went to visit them.
That was on the way to Galicia, on the bus
A cool bridge in Galicia
In town, we passed by a couple cool things
A cool statue of something, idk, we didn’t stop by for me to read what it really was.
A church in Galicia, it had a lot of weird and creepy trees in front. It did give the church character though.
A Town in Galicia, and the view from the mountain that we climbed. That was a very tiring afternoon.
Day 6: Was spent in my aunts house eating and sharing stories
Thats me, my mom, dad, and two brothers. I miss them, going away for college is not always a good thing : (
Day 7: Some awesome sight seeing!!!
These were stone ruins or something, but they kind of looked like stone mazes to me XD
And of course, THE SMURFS!!!! Everyone’s favorite blue buddies.
So on our last day in Galicia, we just spent the day with the family, enjoying and appreciating eachother
Day Nine: On our way back to Madrid, where I witnessed the Tomatina, which is an event where people smothered each other with tomatoes. I, of course, did not participate in the event, but I saw from the window and took pictures for all of you to witness too!
So many people participated in the event. It looked like a lot of fun, but I didn’t wan to get covered in tomatoes. LOL!!!
So on our final day there, there was a lot of shopping done. And then sadly we all had to say our tearful goodbyes and had to head back home to good old New York, New York!
Home, Sweet Home!!!
Till next time folks! I hope you enjoyed my adventure!!!

I was born in New York City but unfortunately have moved out to the suburbs in Long Island, NY. I go to the city once in while, and I have documented it for you all to see! These are my pics of MY city on different occasion, ENJOY!!!
on a cloudy day, when the mist seemed to be eating the buildings away…
And then theres the weird things…
naked cowboy that roams NY, well not really naked, he has briefs, lol!
thats me next to the funny statue.
My favorite places to visit are the museums, I love them. Theres the MOMA, the Museum Of Natural History, The Guggenheim, just to name a few.
The MOMA’s courtyard. It’s a nice place to sit in when the weather is right.
I went during the Salvador Dali exhibit, who is my favorite painter, and this is one of his famous sketches. I wasn’t suppose to take pictures, but I couldn’t help myself >: )
That’s the Museum of Natural History, one of my favorite childhood memories.
And of course, the big dinosaur in the entrance of the museum…SCARY!!!LOL
The Guggenheim, another famous museum in New York City. It looks futuristic doesn’t it???
The interior, isn’t it beautiful <3
And of course, what New York City entry is complete without pictures of the famous New York City Library found in 42nd Street and Briant Park.
And of course, since the Empire state building is sooo big, you can see it from almost anywhere in New York.
Thats the view from the Starbucks, LOL!!!
And of course, one of my favorite places is Battery Park, located in the lower side of Manhattan (NYC)
That’s the view from across the river in Battery Park
On a lonely cloudy day in the fall : )
That does not conclude my adventures in New York City, but this is it for now, until next time, I’ll give you guys a tour of downtown Manhattan. Bye!!!
I want to art, I miss it. (Arting, a verb I made up during 12th grade Advance Placement art class).
Lately I’ve given up professional painting for something more cartoony and surrealistic. Like Frida Kahlo and Salvador Dali, I love surrealism. Something almost real but in the realm of the unreal.
I’ve been in my BOB stage. BOB is my manikin
I’ve never been judged on the way I look or for my nationality. But many around me have. And it’s the most terrible thing to hear when you are young and growing up that you don’t belong somewhere because of your color or your race or the language you speak.
To me everyone is the same. No one is different. Of course personality differs, but we are all human beings, of the same species. Everyone feels, everyone has a mother and father, be they with them or not. Everyone is human. So in dedication to my belief, instead of drawing people in real life situations, I have decided to draw BOB in real life situations.
I look at the people who are surrounding me and I draw them as BOB. Of course they have different personalities, different lives, different experiences that made them who they are today. But I want people to see that it’s not color that makes the person who they are. It’s just them, they make who they are in life. So by drawing them as BOB, people don’t focus on the beauty of some and the lack of that on others. They see them as the manikins, all the same with different personalities and different hobbies and jobs.
I have drawn already a couple of them in acrylic as well as oil.
I plan to do more, but college takes up most of my time, so I only get to paint when I go home. As soon as I get the chance I’ll post some up to share my ideas with the blogers of Sanriotown.
I know I should consider myself fortunate for the simple fact that I was chosen to be a HKO Founder should satisfy me, but knowing that I’m going to be a Founder makes the wait feel like a million years. : (
I WANNA PLAY HKO!!!!!

I have been traveling to my parents home town since I was young. The island is beautiful and it’s found in the Carribean Sea. It’s called The Dominican Republic. I usually go every couple of months or every year. But this time around I didn’t go for almost 3 years. It was still as beautiful as I remember.
I not only stayed in the resorts of The Dominican Republic’s famous Punta Cana, but I also went to visit my family members. While I was in the town where my summer home is located, I noticed that many dogs were strays and were affected by some sort of polio that had their limbs almost hanging off their bodies. It was awful! I have two dogs of my own and these images of stray dogs with no food or even water tore my heart in tiny little pieces. I couldn’t save all of them, but I brought some of them to my summer home, even if my parent were a bit surprised and not really into it.
That there is Bethoven aka Toby. I found him in an abandoned construction site. I kept feeding him food everyday until he felt confortable enough to come in my home. He was covered in flees and ticks, and was in need of a couple of shots. I took him to the vet where they gave him a flee and tick bath and gave him his needed shots. He was such a good boy, in search for affection. The day I left I gave him to one of my neighbors who promised to keep him and take of him.
I also found two girl puppies thrown out in a dumpster. I was told by the locals that people there usually throw any female puppies out because they have no money to get them spayed, and they don’t want to go throw the trouble of a menstruating dog or a dog in labor. But I couldn’t resist. They were just soooooo cute!!! And so small. It looked like they were not waned so I had to go buy a bottle to feed them milk. And I soaked bread with the milk and feed it to them. They were so cute!!!
I named them Layla (left) and Lila (right).
That’s me with the puppies. I left them with my grandmother, since she has a big house with a huge backyard for them to play and grow in.
And this here is Vick, another puppy I found in my father’s construction site. I couldn’t stand to leave him there so I also brought him home.
I plan to sometime in the future get my dad to invest some money into me making some sort of animal shelter and hire some vets to help the stray dogs in the area. No dog should go on without at least water, and I hope to educate people on spaying and neutering their dogs. It’s not really right for the dog, but if you cant sell the puppies and you throw them out to the streets you make the problem worse. So to help prevent dogs from becoming strays we have to make people understand that they cant have their dogs running around making puppies.
There were also very nice scenery. As my dad was driving by I took some pictures.
That’s the view from my house of the neighborhood I live in.
I also got the see the horses my cousin owns. They were very beautiful. Not big like the ones I see in Central Park, NY, but still very beautiful.
This one afternoon, in my grandparents farm, I was ordered by my grandmother to get water from this big blue tank for their dogs. I look in the tank and I see many little things moving. Then I realized it was like a million tadpoles. I asked my grandfather how on Earth did those tadpoles get there. I was about to accuse him of catching all of them to feed them to the dogs when he told me it seemed like a frog had gotten into the water and laid some eggs, which then hatched into the tadpoles. I was so amazed at this. Me already at 18 amazed at something so normal. It was cool. If I lived there I would actually keep one or two. Here in America we buy them. LOL. So i took some pictures of these magnificent tadpoles.
I was still curious about these tadpoles, and I couldn’t resist, I had to put my finger in there. It felt very ticklish. Like when you put your hand in the fish tank when your a little kid. It was cool.
Yes that is my finger in there, LOL!!!
After I came back in August, I had to start school right away. I plan to go back and start my animal shelter in the summer of 2009. I want to help the animals in any way I can and try in some sort of way to bring animal rights and awareness to the community I have my summer home in. I don’t plan to change everything in a year. I just want people to know that they are alive and have feelings. They bleed when you hurt them, they are happy when they are loved, they are sad when scolded. They need a home, and if I can slowly bring people to realize this then I would feel like my efforts are not for naught.
I have the blues today…I don’t know why. I think it’s because I’m so far away from home. Or maybe it’s the fact that I have a billion homework assignments to do and I’m not doing it currently at this moment. I can’t get the energy to work. But I have to because these building won’t design themselves and I can’t really pay someone to do my homework. I have two quizzes this wee. English and Engineering. I don’t wanna but I don’t really have a choice. I cant flunk out of college. Can’t be a bum, lol.
I guess I’ll go try to get some sort of work done…
